Meg's Spring Decoration

Here's a picture of Meg's Spring decoration!  Isn't it super cute???

Instead of a little box, each of her's were put in a terra cotta flower pot.  She used ribbon around the "stems" and used glitter glue to make little dots on the eggs.    I especially like her lettering spelling "SPRING".. because Spring is finally here!!!

Finally!

(this is a reposting, because for some reason, my post was deleted by blogger-- boo!!)

Spring is finally here! yay!

Meg made this adorable spring decoration.  I came home and attempted to do it myself.  Of course mine is a little different from her's, but that's the great thing about crafts! No two projects are the same!

Here's the final product, and then how to do it. Meg's version will be posted as soon as she sends me a picture! : )

Here's my final product! Megan's is in flower pots instead of a flower box.

Here are the materials:  Plastic Grass, Wooden eggs, Wooden dowels.

A closer view of the plastic grass. It comes apart in little sections.

A closer view of the wooden eggs
Take your hot glue gun and put a dab on the wooden dowl.  Place the wooden dowl in the middle of the bottom of the egg.  As a tip, I used my finger and smoothed the glue after it setup just a little bit.

Paint the eggs the different colors that you want. I put glitter paint on mine to give them that eggstra pizzaz.
I made this box out of some balsa wood I had sitting around. I hot glued it together.  I then painted it to give it a weathered look.

This is what the box looks like with the grass in it.

Use styrofoam to make the wooden dowels stand up in the box.

Add the grass one section at a time.

Ta da!  This is what it looks like all done!
I added some rafia as bow/ leaves, and here it is sitting on my front table!
